FREE TOOL
Gerber viewer
See a printed circuit board from its Gerber files: the top and bottom of the board, its copper layer count and its size. The files are read in this browser, nothing is uploaded and no account is needed.
Open a Gerber ZIP
Export the Gerber and drill files of one board revision from your design tool as a single ZIP.
Up to 20 MB. The ZIP is read in this browser and is not uploaded to MPBxChange.
What the viewer reads
- Copper layers: the copper layer files in the ZIP are counted, top, bottom and each inner layer. A gap in the inner-layer numbering is reported.
- Board size: the width and height of the board outline file, in millimetres.
- The drawing: the top and bottom of the board, drawn from the copper, solder mask, silkscreen, outline and drill files. The colours are illustrative.
- File names from KiCad, Altium and Eagle exports are recognised, for example .GTL, .GBL, .G1 and .GKO, or F_Cu.gbr and Edge_Cuts.gbr.
The viewer is not a design-rule check. Gerber files do not state the material, surface finish, thickness or tolerances; the fabricator confirms them in its review of the files.
